USC Clubs Week offers opportunities for nearly every student interest
This week the University Students’ Council will be hosting its annual Clubs Week in the UCC atrium and Mustang Lounge. Clubs Week is an opportunity to showcase the vast array of student groups and opportunities on Western’s campus and also allows students the opportunity to join these clubs and get connected with individuals of similar interests.
With over 200 clubs, ranging from cultural to academic, sports-related to religious-based there is a club that fits nearly every interest group on campus. Club membership fees vary depending on the activity; however most clubs typically charge $8 – $15 for membership, which cover activity and programming costs for most of the year’s club events.
USC Vice President Student Events, Erin Uberig explained that, “The club system is where I found my home here at Western. With over 200 clubs and 12,000 registered club members, there is something here for everyone.”
Students interested in finding out more about USC clubs can stop by the UCC atrium and Mustang Lounge to browse the different club booths and join the clubs that interest them. Club booths will be open from 10:00am to 4:00pm from Monday to Friday this week. For more information on the USC clubs system please visit http://www.westernclubs.ca.
