Theatre Western nominated for four Beat DISH Magazine Awards

The University Students’ Council is proud to announce Theatre Western has been nominated for four Beat DISH Magazine Awards for their productions of Jerome, The Historical Spectacle and Legally Blonde. The annual Beat DISH Awards aim to celebrate the best in London Theatre.

The Beat DISH Awards celebrate the in Theatre in the city of London. Jerome, The Historical Spectacle has been nominated for two awards, including the Beatnik Award for a Comedy or Drama, Ali Greene nominated for Best Stage Manager in a Comedy or Drama. Furthermore, Legally Blonde has also been nominated for two awards, including Ellen Lever for Best Performance for an Actress in a Supporting Musical Role and Patrick Callegaro for Best Choreographed Musical.

The Annual Beat DISH Awards not only celebrate the best in London Theatre, but also provide Western students with the opportunity to grow professionally and to be recognized on and off campus for their accomplishments in theatre.

“Our student volunteers put a great deal of hard work and dedication into their initiatives and it’s wonderful for them to be recognized for their passion and talent not only on campus but in the London community. We are extremely proud of Theatre Western for this success,” explained Erin Uberig, USC Vice President Student Events.

The awards will be held on January 15th, 2012 and will be hosted by Michael van Holst.
