Kira Isabella and Canaan Smith to perform at the Wave as part of USC concert series
The University Students Council is happy to announce Canadian country superstars Kira Isabella & Canaan Smith will be coming to perform at The Wave on Thrusday, March 7th. This will be the final musical act to perform at The Wave as part of the USC’s Concert Series.
The USC Concert Series first launched in 2011 in hopes of providing students with a wide array of musical entertainment on campus. Electro pop band, Dragonette and indie band, Walk Off The Earth were just a few of the musical acts that performed for students as part of the concert series over the last few semesters.
Kira’s Isabella is a Canadian country music artist from Ottawa. Her debut single “Love Me Like That” was a runaway hit crossing over into the Canadian Hot 100 Chart and earned her a 2012 Canadian Radio Music Award. She was also awarded with a Canadian Country Music Award for Rising Star in 2012. If the accolades of awards weren’t enough, Kira was added as support for select dates on Carrie Underwood’s Blown Away Tour in October of 2012 just in time for her debut album release “Love Me Like That.”
“This will be our last show in our Wave Concert Series this year. This has been an initiative that students have enjoyed for the past two years and I hope they are excited for this one!” stated Vice President of Finance, Tony Ayala.
